Bijan Robinson: It's one of my dreams to stay with one team

Bijan Robinson has officially signed his three-year contract extension with the Falcons.

The Falcons announced that Robinson finalized the deal on Wednesday morning. In comments to the team's website, Robinson said he put a high priority on remaining with one team for his entire career.

"God is so good," Robinson said. "Without Him I wouldn't be here. To keep playing with these guys and this organization. This is one of my dreams, to stay with one team. I think that is such a cool thing just because guys like Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan they all stayed on their one team, so I think that is a cool legacy thing for yourself. I am excited for everybody to keep watching the gifts that I have been given, and hopefully we get to do some incredible things. The signing is great, but it is more so for me, just being able to be here and play for this organization."

It should be noted that Jordan didn't play his whole career with one team, although Robinson isn't the only one who has blocked out the Wizards era from their memories of Jordan's time in the NBA. It remains to be seen if Robinson will ultimately follow in Bryant's footsteps, but this week's deal ties him to the Falcons through 2030 and puts him more firmly on that path than he was when training camp opened last week.
