Sirianni: 'Doctors have to do their job' on Hurts check

Eagles coach Nick Sirianni expressed understanding despite frustration over quarterback Jalen Hurts' concussion evaluation that kept him off the field during Monday night's game against the Bears.

"Obviously frustrating," Sirianni told ESPN at halftime, "but the doctors have to do their job. The guys — they got to protect these guys. And, you know, we have a hit on the sideline that they looked at, and that's the way it goes." asg-reflektory.pl

Unlike former Giants coach Brian Daboll in a similar situation last year, Sirianni stayed away from the medical tent, possibly influenced by the league's punishment imposed on the Giants, Daboll, and running back Cam Skattebo. "If a player is getting checked for a concussion, he's not available. The coaching staff and the players have no choice," Sirianni noted.
