Ivory Coast returns to the 2026 World Cup after a 12-year absence, qualifying automatically following an unbeaten run in AFCON qualifying.

After a heartbreaking 93rd-minute penalty loss to Greece in 2014, Ivory Coast failed to qualify for the next two World Cups. However, they bounced back by finishing top of their AFCON qualifying group undefeated.
