U.S. Men Lose 2-0 to Portugal in World Cup Friendly

The U.S. men's national team lost 2-0 to Portugal in an Atlanta friendly, ending its roster evaluation phase before the World Cup roster announcement.

Portugal opened the scoring with Francisco Trincao in the 37th minute, followed by Joao Felix's second goal in the 59th, assisted by Bruno Fernandes. The U.S. had several chances but failed to convert, with shots from Antonee Robinson and Malik Tillman missing the target.

The U.S. will not play again until coach Mauricio Pochettino announces the roster on May 26, after which they face Senegal in Charlotte and Germany in Chicago. Group D matches begin on June 12 against Paraguay.
