Fissette Blames Misfit, Swiatek Prepares for Charleston Open

Fissette admitted his tenure with Swiatek was hampered by a language barrier and difficulty integrating into an established team structure. He noted that the player was unhappy from the start and that the coaching relationship never clicked compared with her previous coach Tomasz Wiktorowski.

Swiatek, who finished the 2025 season with a 64‑17 record under him, now prepares for the Charleston Open against Magdalena Frech. She will be assisted by former teammate Francisco Roig as she seeks to regain momentum after parting ways with Fissette.
