Marathon walk honors late Cambridge United star

A group of 45 people have completed a marathon walk from Mildenhall Town FC to Cambridge United's stadium in memory of former player Tom Youngs.

The walk, organized by the Tom Youngs Foundation set up after his death in May 2025, raised nearly £25,000 for charities including Bowel Cancer UK and St Nicholas Hospice. Youngs' wife Michelle praised the community spirit shown by participants.

Some funds will also support young athletes and musicians, reflecting Youngs' passion for nurturing talent. Cambridge United donated 30 tickets for a match against Swindon Town, which ended 1-1.
