Skotheim on track to return after foot surgery

Sander Skotheim (23) is on the road to recovery after a foot surgery in January and could return to competition by the end of May, he said.

Sander Skotheim, the 23‑year‑old 400m specialist, suffered a ligament injury in his left foot during a training camp in January. After surgery, he has already completed his first training session and is optimistic about a May comeback.

Missing the Paris Olympics and the Tokyo World Championships, Skotheim now targets the European Championships in Birmingham in August, where he hopes to win his first senior medal.
