The Iowa Cubs defeated the Louisville Bats 6-2 on Sunday, extending their winning streak to five games.

Vince Velazquez tossed five strong innings, allowing just one run and striking out seven to earn the win. The offense was led by James Triantos, who went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and Kevin Alcántara, who hit his fourth home run of the year.

Chas McCormick also went deep, extending his recent power surge, while BJ Murray Jr. had a perfect 2-for-2 day at the plate.
