Jake Paul announced that an MMA bout with Nate Diaz would become his top priority if Diaz defeats Mike Perry on May 16, placing the fight above all other potential matchups.

During a podcast appearance, Paul stated that a fight with Diaz would be his number one goal after the May card featuring Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano. He said the matchup would be above Tommy Fury, Francis Ngannou, and KSI, and that financial hurdles are the main obstacle to making the fight happen.
