After undergoing brain surgery to remove a benign tumor, PGA Tour star Gary Woodland has been diagnosed with PTSD.

Woodland underwent scans in 2023 after experiencing panic attacks and tremors, revealing a benign tumor pressing on the part of his brain that controls fear.

The 2019 U.S. Open champion returned to the PGA Tour in 2026 but continues to struggle with the mental toll of his diagnosis, describing moments of intense anxiety.
