Jury Selected in Diggs Assault Trial

A jury of six women and one man has been seated for the assault trial of former New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs at Dedham District Court.

The trial, expected to last "two or three days," comes after Diggs was charged with felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor assault and battery. The former Patriots star, who pleaded not guilty, allegedly assaulted his former private chef during a dispute over unpaid wages at his Dedham home on December 2, 2025. sports24.club

Diggs, released by the Patriots in March and currently a free agent, faces allegations that he struck the woman in the face, placed her in a chokehold, and threw her onto a bed. During a pretrial hearing, defense attorneys successfully objected to any reference to a prior bad act by the alleged victim.
