Kasparov Warned of Russian Death List

Chess legend and Kremlin critic Garry Kasparov reveals he and his colleague have been warned they're on a Russian death list.

Kasparov, 63, said American and Lithuanian security services warned both him and his colleague Ivan Tjutrin that they are targets for assassination. The warning comes after Kasparov and Tjutrin founded the Free Russia Forum in 2016, which supports the Ukrainian military and organizes anti-war conferences.

Russia designated the Free Russia Forum as an 'undesirable organization' in 2023 and later listed it as a 'terrorist organization' in 2025. This warning follows recent US Department of Justice indictments against five alleged Russian intelligence agents accused of plotting attacks worldwide. sports24.club
