The third annual Coretta Scott King Classic will feature two of women's basketball's most successful programs. UCLA, coming off its 2024 NCAA championship, will open the event against Oklahoma on January 18. The second game will showcase the 2025 champion UConn Huskies facing Seton Hall in a Big East matchup.
The games will be held in Newark, New Jersey, and broadcast nationally on FOX. UCLA coach Cori Close expressed excitement about returning to the event, which honors Coretta Scott King's legacy. This marks UCLA's second appearance in the Classic in three seasons. The timing works well for UCLA, which will face Big East opponents Rutgers and Maryland later that week. UConn and Seton Hall previously played in Newark in 2010. chickenroad.qpon
