City Scandal Threatens Football Integrity

The English Football Association expressed concern Friday that the controversy surrounding Manchester City could have a devastating effect on football as a whole. An independent panel concluded that City inflated its own revenues by over nine billion kroner over ten years through what the Premier League describes as 'fictitious' sponsorship deals arranged by the club's owners. ipltable.lol

Possible sanctions range from fines and point deductions to expulsion from the Premier League. The Football Association stated they are carefully evaluating the decision and its consequences, and will take appropriate action where necessary.
