Real Madrid's La Liga title hopes are teetering after back-to-back defeats against Osasuna and Getafe.
Martin Satriano's goal six minutes before fulltime stunned the Santiago Bernabeu on Monday and took most of the remaining early shine off Alvaro Arbeloa's Madrid tenure.
Celta Vigo's 2-0 win in the capital last December was one of the nails in the coffin for Arbeloa's predecessor, Xabi Alonso.
Friday's trip to Galicia looks fraught with danger, especially with Celta in the hunt for European qualification and Madrid without two major stars.
The Sporting News brings you Madrid's current injury list, as well as a look at their latest team news and a preview of how they could line up in their next match.

Real Madrid injury list
Below is the latest injury picture for Real Madrid, including estimated return dates for those who are sidelined.
Raul Asencio
- Injury: Head/neck
- Expected return date: March 7 (vs. Celta Vigo)
Asencio collided in the air with teammate Antonio Rudiger before a sickening fall to the turf during the second leg against Benfica. He was taken off on a stretcher in a neck brace, but thankfully, the player himself later posted to social media to say it was "just a scare". He could be back next weekend.
Kylian Mbappe
- Injury: Knee
- Expected return date: March 22 (vs. Atletico Madrid)
Mbappe has been dealing with knee soreness for months, missing time on various occasions. On March 2, the day of Madrid's home defeat to Getafe, it was confirmed Mbappe is nursing a knee sprain.
The injury will not require surgery but means two to three weeks on the sidelines. That means Mbappe will miss both legs of the Champions League Round of 16 clash with Manchester City.

Rodrygo
- Injury: ACL
- Expected return date: 2027
Rodrygo has suffered a rupture of his anterior cruciate ligament and a rupture of the lateral meniscus in his right leg. This significant setback means the Brazil forward will miss the 2026 World Cup and he is likely to be sidelined for a minumum of 10 months.
Jude Bellingham
- Injury: Hamstring
- Expected return date: April
The England star suffered a hamstring injury against Rayo Vallecano in early February, and initially was expected to miss around four weeks. However, further reports a few days later indicated that he would be absent a bit longer than initially thought, and that he may not be available until April, leaving him out through the March international break.
Eder Militao
- Injury: Hamstring
- Expected return date: March 22 (vs. Atletico Madrid)
Militao, who had been fantastic since returning from his lengthy absences for multiple ACL tears, has been sideliend since suffering a hamstring injury in the defeat to Celta Vigo last December. Madrid are understandably being careful over his return and, like Mbappe, Militao will also miss the double-header against Manchester City.
Franco Mastantuono
- Injury: Pubalgia
- Expected return date: —
In late 2025, teenage midfielder Mastantuono was struck down by the same ailment that has hindered Barcelona star Lamine Yamal. Similar to what is known as a "sports hernia," the injury is one that has to be managed.
While Mastantuono is back to game fitness for Real Madrid, it is still notable to include him on the injury list as it could flare up at any time, and his minutes will likely need to be watched much more carefully than they had been at the start of the season after newly joining the team. He will miss the Celta game through suspension after he was sent off against Getafe.
