Prep roundup: Austin continues to roll with wins over Lawrence County, Hatton

Mar. 4—Austin picked up two big baseball wins on Tuesday, taking down Lawrence County 7-0 and Hatton 10-0.

The Black Bears are now 6-1 on the season under second-year head coach Preston Potter.

Against Lawrence County Paxton Branum homered and finished with three hits, three RBIs and two runs scored. Against Hatton, Riley Griggs drove in four runs on two hits, while Owen Prater pitched a five-inning no-hitter with 10 strikeouts.

Austin will be back in action on Thursday at Decatur.

Athens Bible 9, Holly Pond 0: Gavin Butler finished with three hits, two RBIs and two runs as the Trojans cruised to a win.

Luke Murrell added three hits and two runs.
