Mar. 4—Austin picked up two big baseball wins on Tuesday, taking down Lawrence County 7-0 and Hatton 10-0.
The Black Bears are now 6-1 on the season under second-year head coach Preston Potter.
Against Lawrence County Paxton Branum homered and finished with three hits, three RBIs and two runs scored. Against Hatton, Riley Griggs drove in four runs on two hits, while Owen Prater pitched a five-inning no-hitter with 10 strikeouts.
Austin will be back in action on Thursday at Decatur.
