Here's how Patrick Mahomes reacted when Chiefs traded Trent McDuffie

The Kansas City Chiefs made their first major move of the 2026 NFL offseason on March 4 by agreeing to a trade with the Los Angeles Rams that sent star defensive back Trent McDuffie to the Golden State in exchange for a package of draft picks.

McDuffie, who joined the Chiefs as a first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, has been a key difference-maker for Kansas City's secondary and is among the most accomplished cornerbacks in the league.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes took to Twitter to voice his one-word reaction to Kansas City's decision to deal McDuffie to the Rams:

A two-time Super Bowl champion, McDuffie earned All-Pro honors in 2023 and is likely to be offered a high-dollar extension from Los Angeles, which the Chiefs may not have been able to afford, given the team's various needs at other positions.

Stay tuned to see how Kansas City's decision to trade McDuffie will affect Chiefs general manager Brett Veach's approach to free agency and the 2026 NFL Draft.
