Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select revealed that reports claiming Tommaso Ciampa was scheduled to debut on AEW Dynamite a week earlier than his January 28 appearance were incorrect. According to AEW sources, Ciampa couldn't have appeared on January 21 as he was still under contract with WWE at that time.
The "Psycho Killer" has stated his AEW debut came together at the last minute while he was on a family vacation in Texas. After his surprise appearance on "Dynamite," Ciampa continued his vacation, appeared on "AEW Collision," won the TNT Championship from Mark Briscoe, and still had time to finish his vacation before the following week's TV shows.
