Patriots Eye WR with Downfield Playmaking Skills

The New England Patriots are predicted to select Tennessee wide receiver Chris Brazzell II with their No. 31 pick in the NFL Draft, adding a downfield playmaker to boost their offense.

The Patriots plan to release Stefon Diggs on March 11 and may use their first-round selection on Brazzell, who impressed at the combine with a 4.37-second 40-yard dash. At 6-feet-4, Brazzell is an outside receiver known for winning downfield, which could complement Drake Maye's strong deep passing ability.

Brazzell played four seasons of college football, splitting time between Tulane and Tennessee. In 40 career games, he recorded 136 receptions for 2,072 yards and 16 touchdowns, making him a valuable addition to New England's offense.
