Warrenton 8th Graders Capture State Basketball Title

The Warrenton 8th grade girls squad captured the middle school state championship in Salem, defeating Madras/Warm Springs 60-52 in the final. They finished the weekend with a 5‑6 record, dropping only to Madras on Saturday night before rallying to win the title.

The roster features six eighth‑graders and four seventh‑graders, with six players having played together for five years. Their resilience saw them overcome a nine‑point halftime deficit in the championship game.
